The training, development, and retention of SPAWAR’s future leaders is extremely important. SPAWAR’s career development programs are entry-level and are targeted toward college graduates. They serve as a source for the hiring and training of professionals such as computer scientists, mathematicians, electronics engineers, contract specialists, and other professional and administrative personnel. The programs provide a structured, one to three year management training program that includes formal education and training, diverse rotational assignments, extensive on-the-job training, and challenging work assignments.
